FACTS AND QUESTIONS

Do you accept insurance?

Azzurri Speech Therapy is an out-of-network provider. My services are often covered by out-of-network benefits. I provide you with a receipt/suberbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. I also accept HSA/FSA cards.

Why don't you accept insurance?

Accepting insurance would require a full time employee to spend hours billing and communicating with insurance companies. Often, only a portion of the amount billed is reimbursed. Instead, Azzurri Speech Therapy has chosen to devote time and resources to completing trainings to increase knowledge/skills to benefit clients more directly. Azzurri Speech Therapy is better able to cater to each child's specific needs without worrying whether it will be covered by insurance.

Why choose Azzurri Speech Therapy?

  • Specialized speech therapy (over 500 hours of additional trainings/certifications)

  • Family-oriented goals (based on family's goals and child's needs, rather than for insurance reimbursement)

  • No referral is needed; eligibility is not based on standardized test scores

  • Flexible scheduling and service location (home, school, clinic, etc.)

How much do you charge?

Because I do not accept insurance, I strive to keep my prices affordable. Therapy session rates are as follows:

  • 30 minutes - $65

  • 45 minutes - $80

  • 60 minutes - $100

Evaluations:

  • 60+ minutes - $200 (comprehensive evaluation report and treatment plan included)

    • A formal evaluation is not required if you already have a recent evaluation from another practice

Where are your services provided?

Azzurri Speech Therapy provides in-home speech therapy services in Allegheny County. Services can be provided in your home, a daycare/school, or anywhere in the community. Services can also be provided at my office location in Carnegie, PA.

Do you have a waitlist?

There is no waitlist. Clients are typically able to schedule their first visit within 2 weeks.

What areas do you treat?

I am able to treat all speech/language areas; however, I specialize in treating childhood apraxia of speech, speech sound disorders, feeding therapy (oral motor, tongue tie, etc.), and gestalt language processors (NLA).

What ages do you work with?
